First Aid Training
Description:
The South African legislation sets out that all organizations shall ensure prompt first aid access to all employees should an emergency arise within the workplace. Level 1 First Aid- equips learners with basic life saving skills during an emergencies. Level 2 First Aid- Provides advanced skills for higher risk emergencies were treating injuries, illnesses and there handing thereof is prioritized. Legal Liability Training
Description:
The aim of the legislator is to provide for the health and safety of persons at work by also imposing principles of self-regulation (minimum standards) towards both management and employees. As such there is a well established principle of Law that an employee has an implicit (complete) right to work in a safe and health working environment. Conversely, the employer has an obligation to ensure that his / her employees are not unduly exposed to health and safety hazards. This right has been entrenched in the legislation, which makes an infringement of his / her right a criminal offence. In this course candidates will be able to do the following:
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of the relevant legislation.
- Explain the requirements for compliance as stipulated in the current legislation.
- Determine the management controls required under legislation to achieve compliance.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of record keeping required by the legislation.
- Explain the legal obligations of the employer in terms of training and communication.
